Still looking for a good ROM on HTC Evo 4G? Well, here we go back at it with MikG ROM, this time with the updated version 3.0.

The MikG ROM has always been very good for us HTC Evo 4G users (my all-time favorite) and with version 3.0 you get lots of goodies including MikTweaks app, which I find it handy in turning my battery bar to show percentage and also my signal bar to show dB levels.

As far as everything else, MikG is smoother/faster than ever, highly recommended ROM for those of you who need everything working.

Jaredthegreat ICS ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G!

This is the Android ROM marathon week, another great ICS ROM to try for the HTC Evo 4G is the ICS ROM by user Jaredthegreat at XDA. This ROM is a very good ROM that can give you full ICS experience along with slight overclocking (if you use SetCPU).

This ICS ROM is one of the smoother ICS ROMs I’ve tried and although 4G/camera isn’t working yet, it’s otherwise a great ICS ROM. If you must have ICS now, definitely give this Jaredthegreat ICS ROM a go and let me know how this ROM goes for you.

ICS ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G! [ICS Deck Evo ROM]

Many of you probably ponder to yourselves these days, “will my OG Evo 4G get an ICS upgrade?”

Well, I am not sure on that exactly myself but it looks like Evo 4G ROM developers are on the case and one of the first ICS ROM for Evo 4G is here by none other than the creator of Evo Deck ROM (which was really good ROM btw).

InfectedROM Eternity ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G![Sense 3.5]

I did a review of InfectedROM Eternity ROM for HTC Evo 3D about a month ago, well here’s the InfectedROM Eternity for rooted HTC Evo 4G users.

This ROM has a ton of features including improved RAM, auto-calibration battery scripts, 5×5 app drawer, full Sense 3.5 experience, and Ziggy kernel. Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G!

Looking for ICS ROM for your Evo 4G? Well, here’s the closest thing to the real ICS ROM. It’s actually a CM7.1 modded with ICS launcher and other goodies from Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s not 100% ICS but you can enjoy some of the ICS experience and best of all, everything works including 3G/4G/wifi and more.

Of course, in couple months when Android ICS source code is released officially, there should be a “slew” of ICS ROMs so don’t worry, it’s gonna come and when it comes, it will be BIG!

MikG ROM v.2.59 for HTC Evo 4G!

So, I was running CM7.1 + Trinity kernel but since MikG ROM was updated to v.2.59, I switched back to MikG ROM. This one has always been one of my favorite Sense ROMs, it’s now even better with more goodies.

The only thing still missing is overclocking, I couldn’t really get any Sense kernels working on it yet but if anyone has been successful running an OC kernel, please don’t forget to leave in the comments box so I can try it out.

4.54.651.1 OTA Rooted ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G!

I swear every time there’s an OTA software update from HTC, people start going crazy and start trying to update their rooted phone and mess it up. Please don’t do that and new software updates often are not that great anyways.

With that said, HTC released 4.54.651.1 OTA update, this comes with security fix and some minor fixes but it’s definitely not worth losing root then updating to this.

But for those of you who must try it, you can install a rooted version of the stock ROM by flashing the file below without losing root and the goodies:

CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM + Tiamat Kernel for HTC Evo 4G [1.19Ghz OC]

Probably the most fastest/stable setup for the HTC Evo 4G is the CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM plus Tiamat kernel. I did have CM7 and SnapTurbo running couple months back running really fast but 4G is broken on that setup.

Anyways, I’ve reverted back to the latest CyanogenMod 7.1 ROM, which runs quite fast coupled with Tiamat Kernel. It’s not going to put be as fast as some of the better Android phones out nowadays but still, it’s going to give you a bit of an edge over stock.
