MikG ROM v.2.41 with USB Tethering for HTC Evo 4G!

I know a lot of you do love MikG ROM and every ROM update, it gets better and better. The newest MikG ROM comes with USB tethering on top of hacked Sprint Hotspot.

The only downside is probably that HDMI mirroring and overclocking is missing, not only MikG but all Sense-based ROMs. This should get solved fairly soon and also root method should be on its way for those with S-ON stock Gingerbread.

In the meanwhile, those who do have root you can download the latest MikG ROM v.2.41 below:

I see you have a lot of experience with a lot of different ROM’s. Which is your favorite, and which to you find has the best battery life. Moreover, when talking about battery life, are the ROM’s themselves battery savers or do you dabble with changing kernels as well?
    Thank you

I ‘ve had this htc 4 g phone for over a year now and i would like to root but am afraid that i might brick it can u help me out

    • B'Rian says:

I thought the same thing but I use unrevoked which was a very easy process. Now I am a Rom changing fool. Every single one that is listed on this site I have tested out. I think you should be ok with rooting via unrevoked as long as you dont have the latest OTA. (just trying to help)

  3. JC says:

So has anyone tried this ROM yet? I am on MikG 2.31 and LOVE it so I will probably try this one, but was wondering if anyone else had tried it yet.

    • Anthony says:

This ROM is awesome! Fast, lots of extra tweaks. I have had not reboots or any other issues. I love it. I think the boot screen is terrible, but that’s nothing to do with the ROM’s performance or quality.

  4. surge says:

has anyone tested the hdmi on this ROM to see if it works?

    • Mario says:

as Anthony says, this rom is super fast, no problems at all, i don’t like sense, but don’t like cm rom either, so, this rom is awesome, flawless, fast, for me even the boot screen is good enough, i am also a rom freak, but may favorite is mik, and in this version is goooood,

I’m on the Synergy RC2 supersonic ROM. I like the MikG ROMs and I’m going to try the 2.41 ver after it finishes downloading. I like the Synergy ROM a little better than the other ROMs I’ve tried so far. I especially like how the home screen flips when you turn the phone. Havent seen any other ROM that has that feature yet.

    • Mario says:

hi, if you like the flipping thing and you can live with out sense there are couple of home replacments that does that, i’m using go launcher por which is free and have lots of transiton animations.

  6. Jesse says:

  8. Tayo says:

I installed MikG 2.41 and was not able to find Android market, is anyone else experiencing this?

  9. Amber says:

I just installed this ROM. I’ve been dying for sense 3.0 since my coworker got her Evo 3D, and I LOVE what I can see of this ROM (which is basically the lock screen.) But I can’t click any icons at all on my home screen. I keep getting three errors. They are:
Google Services Framework (process com.google.com.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly
    android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly
Touch Input (process com.htc.android.htcime) has stopped unexpectedly

What went wrong and how on earth do I fix it? If it helps, I just rooted my HTC Evo 2.3 Gingerbread using revolutionary.io.

    • Amber says:

Fixed my own problem. Restored from backup using ClockworkMod Recovery, then went into recovery and wiped data and reinstalled ROM, making sure USB debugging was off and phone was disconnected from computer. No more errors!

  10. jose says:

does some one know how install this rom or is that same as other roms to install ?

    • Orlando says:

check your processes and make sure you shut down apps running in the back ground, try juice defender and advanced task killer, my battery last 2 days

Compass apps no longer work on my Evo 4g phone running MikG 2.41 rom. It’s not a problem with MikG but with Gingerbread 2.33 based on what I read on the web. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?

  18. Lui says:
