Nocturnal Venom ROM for HTC Evo 3D!

I’ve been in the search of a new ROM that brings a bit more redness to my Evo 3D and I think I have found it. The Noctural Venom ROM is fairly new (only couple weeks since its launch), runs very smooth/fast and give you lots of redness including red wallpapers.

After I uploaded the video last night, this morning I woke up to find all the problems I was having gone so just ignore that part in the video, the ROM runs great now getting near 2500 on Quadrant at 1.5Ghz overclock.

After installing this ROM, let it run for at least a day before you decide on anything. And let me know how it goes for you.

Red is my favorite color. Did you get Hotspot to work?

  3. matt says:

yes hotspots works, but i recommend changing rstp/http settings after you flash the rom.

    • todd says:

what do you mean change settings rstp/http? what is that and why would you change it if you dont mind me asking??

      • D.Cannon says:

go to hotspot, hit menu, hit advanced, check the box DHCP and it should work. took me a while but it’s working now. Good Luck with it

This is a great ROM, and I actually like it better than the Synergy Tweaked ROM!!! The display and RED graphics are spectacular!!! However, on occasion I can’t answer “Incoming” calls because there is no “Answer” button…Zedo, please look into this problem. Other than that, this is the best ROM out there for the EVO 3D!!!

  5. matt says:

battery life could be better even after undervolting.having some connection retry issues.

  6. gary says:

i had the same problem with no button to answer i restarted the phone normal not a hot restart and it seem fine now]

  7. Jose says:

I have the same problem with the answering button. It don’t want to work, i tried flashing the phone couple of times and it’s still not popping up only when it wants to. From there on it is the best yet. please fix that problem.

  14. paris says:

i’m having issues with this rom.i have noticed that my wifi,4g,and bluetooth is not working. Is there a solutuin?

    • Timmay says:

if your on hboot 1.50 you have to fastboot to recovery to flash it or use flash img gui or otherwise it will break the rom.

  15. Matthew says:

I flashed this ROM several times and i still cannot get my wireless to function. when i try to turn it on i get an error. Hot spot doesn’t work either. is there a fix for the WiFi, i could live without hot spot since WiFi tether works.

  16. Matthew says:

well i flashed it again but first used flash Image gui to install the kernel then flashed the ROM with TWRP now WiFi working. all is well including hot spot. Awesome ROM

  17. Timmay says:

diggin this rom so far….flashed it after i downgraded my hboot to 1.40 works like a charm. not too keen on the red but apparently having red on background saves batter lol not sure if thats true or not. i also like the fact that it has a quick settings for wireless adb. gonna give this rom a week to see if i like it or not.

  18. Johnny says:

Mr. Zedo, I flashed the Nocturnal Venom ROM, and thought it was the best thing out there for the EVO 3D! Until, I flashed the Xplod XE 2.0.1 from Nocturnal…I like the features and themes and graphics better on the Xplod XE 2.0.1. Everything works, 4G, Wifi Tether, Camera, etc. and it’s fast! I got 2500 on Quadrant! Was there a reason you did not post this ROM on your site?

  19. Matthew says:

been using the nocturnal venom for a week and having some issues. the screen freezes often, screen jumps around , sometimes i try to push one app and another app activates and most times i have to shut down, restart to finish what i started. i am finding it to be unstable on my phone. will give Xplod XE 2.01 a try. thanks

  20. Matthew says:

I installed the Xplod XE 2.01, my phone is much more stable than Nocturnal Venom. Thanks Johnny.

  21. johnny says:

I am glad the Xplod XE is working for you.

  22. says:
