I’ve used two different computer and cannot get them to read the files so that my computer can load the HTC drivers to root my phone. one is running Vista OS one is running XP.Any suggestions?

Search for EVO gingerbread root. It’ll givw tou links for the right drivers and programs to root your EVO. I did mine running Vista home. Good luck, and enjoy. This is my first time rooting a device, and i was able to do it. Once you do it, you’ll have a blast. I suggest kingdom shooter w fire and ice theme. Follow up w ROM manager pro, busy box, script manager and v6 supercharger. (Select 7 for v6.) Run everything, and enjoy. Xda has tutorials for everything if you need help.

I have an EVO 4G running 2.3.3 that I rooted using the current published rooting procedure and I was so thrilled when I got it to work. So I pat myself in the back as per the instructor!

My main reason for rooting is to enable the mirroring with HDMIWIN. So I downloaded the custom Kernel and flashed my phone and lo and behold, it worked with my 55″ Sharp LED with 10 HDMI inputs.

Video, auto rotating, sound works great. Played Youtube, Photo Slideshows, ‘videos taken with the Evo HD played with no problems.

Then I fired up NETFLIX and it works.

The only thing that I find not to work is the option of NOT routing the audio to HDMI. Is this by design?

In other words, I have the phone plugged into the HDMI and have a headphone plugged into the phone audio jack.

Dose anyone else has the same situation?

the hdmi works pretty good, and i had no problems with the audio. my kids are in my room watching toy story 3 on netflix, with my phone plugged into my tv, as we speak, and i think that’s miles davis cool. the only problem i had is when i flashed the kernel i lost my overclock. granted 1 ghz processor, it doesn’t truly NEED it, and have setcpu set to keep it running at max. but one thing at a time i guess.

Hi, I have rooted my phone with the gingergerbread. I had to take my phone into the sprint store so I used the RUU_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2. then I copied the pc36img file to the sd card. This turned S-ON and removed the revolutionary logo. When I returned home I used the revolutionary.exe and it said my device is already S-off what exactly do you think your doing? Do you want to download clockwork recoveryMod? I typed Y and ENTER. I tried to manually flash the recovery-RA-supersonic-v2.3.img to get the green recovery screen instead of the blue one. it states sending recovery …

    signature checking…
This sucks because I can’t even flash any ROMS andI was trying for the MIKG but it won’t flash same problem with signature verification. I also tried the hdmiwin program for my Netflix and it tries to install the v8 daemon and it keeps flashing back to portrait/ landscape secreen and dowload v8 daemon screen. It also says HDMI cable undetected. I’m using a belkin HGMI mini cable. Can you help me with these problems?
