This is what I am using right now, I really love it and might keep using it. Hopefully, I’ve found my Gingerbread ROM.

Which is the best rom for the GPS

  2. juan says:

I just won to say that the GPS on the evo deck Rom dose not work at all i took it out for a test and it was a complete failure.

  3. Eric says:

I just install MikG and everything works great, very stable think I will keep it for a while.

  4. Pete Nice says:

Just loaded MikG and totaly love it. However, the HDMI mirroring doesn’t work. Everything else seems to be working great for now. I went to watch a video on my T.V. and no mirroring. Any ideas how to fix this?

  5. Ron Harrigal says:

When are you going to test the deck rom? I’m running ver 1.2v and got 1219 on the quadrant benchmark.

  6. Pat says:

Does wireless tethering using 4g work for this ROM?

  7. CJ says:

Hey i love your website im always on it twenty four seven but …. i was wondering if your can do a review for the Sacs kingdom rom v5 ….. http://forum.osmasterminds.com/showthread.php?226-Sacs-Kingdom-Rom-v-5updated-6-7-11

  8. pino says:

have you had any complications with mms?

  9. Hector says:

MikG is the best one by far, only reason I upgraded is because of MikMik coming from MikFroyo. I wouldn’t choose another ROM.

Everything is working, well at least all the basics (. Very stable no crashes, restored everything with Titanium backup Didn’t test that HDMI Mirroring

So far my only complaint and it might be a behavior of Gingerbread is correctly a word from Swype it brings up the copy, cut and paste options instead of the word choice from Swype but at least it works. Just need to train swype better at prediction.

I haven’t tested the 4G wireless tethering I can later this week when I go back to the city. Last update the Hotspot worked only under 3G.

Linpack results are average of 35 after restoring all apps and data. Initially at 37 after first load. Definitely faster than Froyo Rom.

Top New Features – I’m loving the notifications area has an extra tab for quick settings, App history of recently used apps along the top. Very cool.
I’m loving the Lock screen, can change to have 4 main icons that launch the applications without needing to unlock.

Enjoy and always have a backup!

  10. Dan says:

If I updated my evo to 2.3, can I still root my phone with this? Do I have to go back to 2.2, or can we root from the GB version? If either is possible, please point me in the right direction. If there is a certain rom that is particularly stable at 4g hot spot, I would be more interested going that way.

  11. pino says:

Fixed my mms issue…..this rom is frackin awesome….cant put down the phone…It’ll keep me from buying the sensation when it comes out….

How do restore Sprint apps to the mikG Rom

  13. Ty says:

I installed the MikG Rom and I really like it, I do have a few of questions. First, I use SetCPU to overclock the CPU however, it will only register 998400. Should I use another program or does SetCPU have the capability to overclock the CPU and I am missing something? Second, you stated that Sprint apps could be added back in to this Rom Where do I find the apps and do you do a normal flash to install them? Lastly, I am having some trouble with the hdmi out. I tried it without and added hdmi apps but could only manage sound. I downloaded HDWin and Full HDMI Evo which didn’t work. Do I need another Kernel? Which would be the best? Thanks, You do such a great job! Ty

  14. TERRENCE says:

  17. Randy J says:

I installed the MikG Rom and I really like it, but the Sprint Hot Spot does not work. Wireless Tether does. I did try turning on 4G and then Sprint Hot Spot and then turned off 4G it worked but etoped the next time I connected.

  18. hellagame says:

I downloaded and flashed this rom. Worked great for first hour then after that MMS stopped working and force closed immediately. After reboot starting getting a loop of force closes for android core as well as other 3 other messages. I looked on forum and couldn’t find anyone with the same issue. I never got it work work properly again after reboot so I went back to my trusty cm7. I did like the way mik 2.1 1.03 looked and the linpack results were great before all the forced closes. Look forward to trying out the next revision. Hopefully that one will not give my phone issues.

  19. Jesse says:

If I add the MikG Rom, Does the Back up Save my contacts, app, pic, etc?????

  20. Martin says:

Is it me or can the latest v1.03 not change the type of USB connection? Because I set my default connection to disk drive, but I cant see the pop-up nor can I see that my Evo is connected to my computer. I have all the drivers working and installed.

  21. Martin says:

    nvm. Clockwork mod fixed it

  22. Peter pie says:

Install 1.03 from Mikmik website problem 4g says looking talking then disconnect bk and fotth no 4g tried updated radio tried update profile. Im a novice i rooted then wipe cache then wipe phone then upgrade from tikd ginger rom
    Says no 4g

  23. spants says:

I’ve been having the same problems. Mine started after I did a Titanium Backup restore of my data. If I don’t do a restore, it seems to work fine, but that doesn’t really work for me.

  24. spants says:

Should say I have the same problems as hellagame.

  25. 2highi95 says:

I installed v1.04. Everything works great except for my MMS. I can receive regular text messages, but any pics I send out or receive will not go through. I get an error. Other than that it’s great.

  26. encryptd says:

Version 2.0 is out! Some of the fixes are MMS, GPS, faster still and better battery life. HDMI still not working and of course Netflix (but that’s an issue with Netflix itself not the ROM). Loving the speed and stability.

  27. Ty says:

Is the developer for this rom going to address the hdmi mirroring issue?

  28. Dan Diggler says:

Yes, I’m having the same issues. Anyone find a solution or is there new version of MikG that resolves this issue.

  29. ronny says:

yes there is no root for the 2.3.3 ota yet. what i did after downloading and installing ota was runn the 3.70.651.1 RUU. it takes about 20 min tops and downgrades you to 2.2. then you can root using unrevoked

  30. B'Rian says:

Having trouble with the HDMI and the 4G hotspot. I love this rom to death but i would be locked in forever if I could fix these two issues. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  31. Damon says:

i had to do the same thing after the ota. i wish they would fix the evo zone rom. it would be hands down the best… everything works out of the box… the display and the battery drain problem is the only thing keeping me in MikG.
