For those of you having trouble rooting your HTC Evo 4G, you might want to take a look at the latest instructions over at XDA-developers.com here.
These new directions are much easier than before so you should be able to root your Evo easily. Except it won’t work with phones that have done OTA 3.70 updates. (So don’t do software updates!!! Just say no!!!)

Actually, it’s still possible, just much less convenient, to root an Evo after the 3.70 update. There’s a link in the XDA post you referenced to the process.
can you help me step by step i got the new evo 3.9 and im confuse

Try re-flashing and make sure you clear dalvik cache!
