How to Unroot Your HTC Evo 3D!

For some reason, if you need to unroot your HTC Evo 3D back to stock, here’s how to do it if you used Revolutionary root method (won’t work if you are on HBOOT 1.50 and rooted with HTC Method!). Also, Sprint isn’t so tough about returning rooted phones, last week I returned my Evo 3D with root(HTC Method) and ROM because I kept getting error 16, got an exchange no questions asked!

Step 1. Download file here then copy over to the root folder of your Evo 3D’s SD ca

Best HTC Evo 3D ROM – Synergy ROM Review! [3500+ Quadrant]

Best HTC Evo 3D ROM of the week? It is Synergy ROM, which got me consistent 3500+ speeds on Quadrant at 1.728Ghz overclock speeds.

Currently, this is probably the fastest ROM for the Evo 3D and you might want to give it a go if speed is your thang plus battery life is not too shabby.

Let me know what kind of quadrant speeds you get with this, thanks!

*Note – Currently those of you who rooted your phone using HTC method, you cannot flash a new kernel, meaning no overclocking but you can still flash this ROM.

CM7 + Snap Turbo Kernel = Fastest Gingerbread ROM for HTC Evo 4G! [2500+ Quadrant]

If you are looking for the fastest Gingerbread ROM on Android 2.3.5, not the best but fastest in terms of speed, you might want to give this combo a try, CyanogenMod 7 (Nightlies or Experimental) with Snap Turbo kernel.

Over the weekend, I’ve probably bricked my phone 10 times and tried about 10 different combinations of ROMs and kernels.  It was indeed frustrating because my goal was to find the fastest Gingerbread ROM but couldn’t really find it.

In the end, I looked back at Froyo ROMs and found that Snap Turbo kernel had one of the fastest quadr

How to Use OC Daemon on Viper ROM for Longer Battery Life with Overclock!

For those of you who are on Viper ROM (for Evo 3D), did you know that there’s a “hidden” OC daemon inside the ROM?

OC daemon, as the name states, is a overclocking daemon, that you can use to control minimum and maximum clock(CPU) speed. SetCPU app can do that too but the OC daemon goes one step further and let you control the clock speed when your phone is in sleep mode.

By setting your clock speed to be much lower in sleep mode, you can save additional battery power during course of a day if you tend to not use your phone often.

Anyways, here&#

Synergy ROM with God Mode on HTC Evo 4G!

Looking for a faster ROM on your Evo 4G with Gingerbread?  Well the latest Synergy ROM with God Mode allows you to get much faster filesystem IO read/writes.

What the heck does that mean?

Basically any app you use that uses the filesystem often will run much, much faster such as browsing your photos/videos, or anything that makes extensive use of your filesystem.

Linpack numbers pretty much remained the same around 35-36 as that only tests your CPU’s raw power but I got pretty good numbers around 1800 on Quadrant, which does include IO read/writes

Senseless ROM for HTC Evo 3D!

Just as the name implies, the Senseless ROM for the HTC Evo 3D comes with “senseless” UI, opted instead for AOSP (Android Open Source Project) vanilla UI. I know many of you like Sense UI but then also many of you like plain, strip-down Android UI, which in my opinion makes your phone a tad bit faster.

This Senseless ROM’s major feature is that at fresh boot you have nearly 600MB of free memory, allowing you to run more apps than any other app.

Of course the downside is that you lose all your Sprint apps and whatnot but maybe you might be looking fo
