Digital Karma ROM for HTC Evo 4G! [V8]

For this week’s ROM of the week, check out Digital Karma ROM for your rooted HTC Evo 4G! (11/19/2012 – Now updated to Version 8, many people have claimed this is “the best stable ROM” on the Evo 4G).  This ROM is very stable, runs Gingerbread and “much modded” Sense 1.0.  I know many of you want ICS and Jelly Bean for your Evo 4G but the fact is, there’s no camera drivers nor 4G drivers for ICS or Jelly Bean so if you want the most stable ROMs, my best advice is to stick with Gingerbread.

Energy ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G! [Sense 3.5]

For this week, let’s go back in our Time Machine and take a look at the last release of Energy Gingerbread ROM, which comes with Sense 3.5. Loaded with a ton of features like Energy tweaks, Sense 3.5 UI/camera, App2SD, and surprisingly is faster than expected. I think this is one of the coolest ROMs you can get for the Evo 4G if you want some of the latest Sense 3.5 features.

Everything on the Energy ROM works out of the box except for 4G WiMax, but if you don’t mind that, try out the latest release and let me know what you think!

MokeeOS Gingerbread ROM for HTC Evo 4G!

For those of you who want to taste something different on your HTC Evo 4G, definitely give the MokeeOS gingerbread ROM for this week. Coming with supposed Android 2.3.7, this is a ported version of Mokee operating system (I think from a GPS or Chinese Android smartphones), very interesting indeed.

Also, 4G WiMax works out of the box and most things are working so you can use it as daily driver.

Alter ROM for Rooted HTC Evo 4G! [Gingerbread][Aroma]

For those of you who want stability on your HTC Evo 4G, I suggest you to try some of the older HTC Evo 4G Gingerbread ROMs such as this Alter ROM. There’s been a quite jump in the number of ICS and Jelly Bean ROMs for the Evo 4G but all of them don’t have either camera, 4G, or both working, which makes it quite a pain to use for daily drivers.

There will probably not be a fully-working ICS or Jelly Bean ROM on the Evo 4G as HTC has stopped software updates and 4G/camera depend on proprietary drivers from HTC. It’s unfortunate to see HTC does not support

CM10 Jelly Bean ROM for HTC Evo 4G!

Last week we saw TeamDirt’s Jelly Bean ROM for HTC Evo 4G. Well, here’s another great CM10 Jelly Bean ROM you can try for your HTC Evo 4G. Like before, camera/camcorder/4G/Netflix aren’t working but if you don’t mind those this could be a great way to try out the latest Jelly Bean on your Evo 4G.

I think this is a tad better and should be pretty cool to try out the Google Now and other buttery smooth UI features with Jelly Bean.

TeamDirt CM10 Jelly Bean ROM for HTC Evo 4G!

You might have noticed that Jelly Bean ROM has been coming to many of the newer Android smartphones. Well, here’s some great news for your rooted HTC Evo 4G users, you are not left behind.

Thanks to Team Dirt, Jelly Bean CM10 (CyanogenMod 10) ROM has been ported to HTC Evo 4G.

Of course, it’s still very “experimental” and you will lose 4G Wimax/Camera/Netflix/Hulu, but you still get a full Jelly Bean ROM with most things working on Android 4.1.1.

DarkLight ICS ROM for HTC Evo 4G! [AOKP]

For this week, check out DarkLight ICS ROM for your HTC Evo 4G. It’s a custom ROM with a ton of AOKP and ICS features like A2SD baked in, Papa Smurf151’s speed/performance tweaks, and lots more.

There is no 4G, front camera, and Netflix video on this ROM but certainly is one of the promising ROMs that will be one of the best when 4G/camera drivers are available for the Evo 4G.

SOS N ROM for HTC Evo 4G!

For this week’s ROM of the week, give SOS X or SOS N ROM a try on your HTC Evo 4G. This ROM comes with an Aroma graphic installer that lets you customize the ROM while installing.

Some notable features include extended quick settings with and without recent apps, swiping notifications, clock, battery, signal and CRT Animation controllable via Tweaks app.
